Well, class is almost over, and I just wanted to thank everyone for helping me reach my goal! Due to your prayers and some old fashioned sweat equity, here's some before and after action- 30 lbs down, mission accomplished! The before- not cute:

I was thinking about the journey as I was listening to the final 4T's CD, and was particularly struck (again) by the story of the man at the banquet, waiting to be served. It really is MY story, and what I mean by that is realizing that if I did MY part, ie: making better food choices and going to the gym, then God would do the rest. It wasn't what I would call easy, but I always had the energy to make it through my workouts, I was able to actually stick to my low carb plan, I was satisfied with the foods I ate, etc. By getting up and making the decision, the path was laid for me, I just had to follow and have faith. This truly is the best shape I have ever been in, in the shortest amount of time it has ever taken me, and to take sole (soul?) credit for that would be, at best, disingenous. I fully realize that my journey was not travelled alone, and for that, I am so thankful to God, to all of you for your prayers and support (and to the academy, and my agent, and all the little people). We didn't really have a chance to close out our small group properly, but I just want to say: Thank you, all, for a good class!

The YES Factor
I receive a daily email from Dr. Angela Peregoff. Today's reminded me that while the past year of my life has been challenging, my faith has absolutely stengthened and my life has prospered in ways beyond my widlest imagination. So, I share ....
The Morning Blessing 02.12.09
Dear Michael,
In our Science of Mind studies we are reminded over and over again of the power of the "yes factor". The word "yes" is like a mirror of the universe. The way it works is that all of our thoughts and beliefs are brought into our experience, because the universe always says "yes" to them. No matter what the real truth of the matter may be, the universe will always reflect back a "yes," just like a mirror. Our personal consciousness operates behind the scenes to produce factual events that the universe verifies for us. If you desire to be loved and yet hold your focus on the void of that love then the universe can never deliver that experience to you. It's impossible. The power of the universe to affect change on your behalf starts from within your own mind. In ordinary language, you must have faith in the truth and reality of what is wanted rather than what is not wanted.
The moment you adopt that stance of faith conditions will begin to change. My prayer for all of us this day is to have more dominion over our thoughts and to not embrace other's beliefs, thoughts, and opinions. Our entire focus is on shifting one's identity and not on changing conditions in the world because we realize the power of the "yes factor". The universe wholeheartedly agrees with our innermost private thoughts. It is no respecter of person. That is why certain things happen for certain people and not for others.
I invite you to say "yes" to the truth of who you are, and to all the desires of your heart. For it is the pleasure of the universe to say "yes" back to you in each moment. Students who find this beautiful, inner agreement with the universe and rest in it don't wait long for their choices to take form. So this week actively practice being in communion with the idea of the "yes factor" and be so immersed in fulfillment that we forget about everything else, even creating.
I claim and say "yes" to all good this day!

I live and breath the active consciousness of the One Life of God and so I recognize that I am forever the beating of an eternal spirit that has assembled Itself into the form known as Michael .
Of the numerous paradoxes in my world, creating what I desire is not one of them. I confidently and wholeheartedly rest in the embodiment of the desired vision of Self. In a Universe where reality can shift in this very moment, it takes great courage to remain disheartened. I know that no matter how complex, longstanding, or resistant a problem may appear -- all that is needed to find its solution is permission within my own mind. The universe stands at my side repeating, "Please, may I do something for you?"
So today I invite a conscious awareness of my thoughts and mental states to develop and gesture to me gently when I have chosen those experiences that are not beneficial or in alignment with my highest vision of living. I skillfully use my mind as a mirror for the universe to detail any and all situations on a different and better reality track.
There is an oasis of faith in my heart and I now stand in these holy waters immersed with the solidarity with a newly chosen identity of Self. Years of nfulfillment vanish this instant because I choose to have faith in what pleases me rather than in what worries me. I say "yes" and remain open to happy surprises today. And so it is.

The Golden Buddha

One of my favorite teaching stories, which we've just captured in my soon-to-be-released documentary If Shadows Could Talk, is the story of the Golden Buddha. It's an important story and a story we should all remember.
In 1957, a monastery in Thailand was being relocated and a group of monks was put in charge of moving a giant clay Buddha. In the midst of the move, one of the monks noticed a crack in the Buddha. Concerned about damaging the idol, the monks decided to wait for a day before continuing with their task.
During the night, one of the monks came to check on the giant statue. He shined his flashlight over the entire Buddha. When he reached the crack, he saw something reflected back at him. The monk, his curiosity aroused, got a hammer and a chisel and began chipping away at the clay Buddha.
As he knocked off piece after piece of clay, the Buddha got brighter and brighter. After hours of work, the monk looked up in amazement to see, standing before him, a huge solid gold Buddha.
Historians believe the Buddha had been covered with clay by Thai monks several hundred years earlier before an attack by the Burmese army. They covered the Buddha to protect it. In the attack, all the monks were killed, so it wasn't until 1957 that the great treasure was discovered.
Like the Buddha, our outer shell protects us from the world. Our real treasure is hidden within. We unconsciously hide our inner gold under a layer of clay. All we need to do to uncover our gold is have the courage to chip away at our outer shell, piece by piece.

An Amazing Manifestation

Well, let me tell you I had the most amazing manifestation of good moving toward me. Today, I followed intuition. What's amazing is I usually do NOT!
I woke up thinking I needed a new full length dress coat. Called a friend who manages a clothing store and left a VM asking him if there are markdowns, close-outs, etc. Perhaps not indicative of prosperity consciousness, but hey, I figured being prosperous does not mean having to pay full price! But, I digress. So, I'm getting ready to leave and I get this urge to go to the Brown Elephant (a 2nd hand store at Halsted and Waveland). I am NOT usually successful at finding things there, though others I know have found real treasures.
So, I drive, and as I pass the place, the steering wheel is practically pulled from my hands as I start to pass a parking spot. I park .... reluctantly ... thinking "this is a waste of time" yet being drawn into the parking spot as if by a wildly strong magnet.
I walk in the store, look around thinking "this is crazy -- there's no coat here for me" yet looking over racks and racks of clothing lining the main aisle. I was right, nothing!
About to turn around and head out, something tells me to "look in the racks a couple aisles over" ... so, I do thinking "what am I doing here". I go about 10 steps in the aisle eyeing the racks on the left, and my head suddenly turns to my right only to find a full length black coat. My egoic mind says, "It's probably not your size."
I defy and try it on. Not only does it fit PERFECTLY, but it is also smell free, spot free, and damage free! I look in my wallet thinking this place only takes cash and find I have $13 and some change in my pocket. Figuring, I'll need to go get some cash, I look at the price tag.
So you ask, "How much?" --- What else could it be? --- $13!!! Yes, the Law works!
What was the line from that famous TV show ... When you least expect it... Smile ... It's all God!

Thank you and thank all of our Jedi's.....I actually liked that we were happy, frustrated, angry and goofy all in one night!!! (the cool thing ... we weren't afraid to share)...hot damn!!!

Resistance
Prosperity in the Life of a High Rollin' Jedi ...
Well the theme this morning seems to be resistance. Got a Law of Attraction morning email that included a little video clip about resistance. As I sit at the cafe, resisting doing work for a meeting, I did a little searching for more on resistance.

So, why don't I/we get what we want? Limiting beliefs, inflexible expectations, and focusing energy on what we DON'T want ... the author says this changes our core vibration from attraction to resistance.
Now, I'm thinking about finances, relationships, my business, and more. More on the metaphysical to-do list: what am I resisting?

It Works AS I Work It

This is a three part post!
MARGUERITE'S CAFE
Had a GREAT time and PRODUCTIVE day at Marguerite's cafe- Avanti ... what a great space! And, it sounds like more exciting things to come in it! I urge any other cafe-lizard Jedis among us to make that visit to 3714 N Southport ... I even found meter free side street parking around the corner. The start to a prosperous day!
THE LAW WORKS
I listened to and read Side A of Chapter 3 after I got home from last night's class and it is amazing ... The short version - prayer: Denials, Affirmations, and Thanksgiving. So, I cranked out some denials, pulled out a few affirmations, and gave much thanks ... for 4Ts, for all of you Big Time Jedis, the support of Sue and Marguerite and my two prayer partners, Anthony and Brad, Prac Training which is transforming my life on a DAILY basis -- visibly.
Well, manifestation time ...
Part of my revelation was that one of my sisters always says she does not feel connected to the rest of us. It struck me that she never shares about herself and whats going on with her -- just stuff. So, as it goes, the Law only gives what we ask ... tonight, I'm coming out of the health club at 7:05 .. the phone rings and it's (you got it) my sister. The call lasted until I was almost pulling in my parking lot at 7:28 ... for the whole time she told me EXACTLY what was going on about finding and deciding on a place to stay in France when she goes to visit my nephew. I for ALL of the fine details about everything from how many places she looked at online, the owner's story of how he ultimately got to France, and even how many stairs there are to get to the apt. she will stay in! Yes, she was excited and I was glad for her.
I hung up thinking she never asked a thing about me ... not unusual ... so I got what I asked for ... not what I wanted. I guess the Law Works! :) So, refinement of the prayer is in order.
THE LAW REALLY WORKS
At 1:45, I got the urge to leave Avanti Cafe and make an impromptu visit to one of my company's workshop groups that was meeting today at a school. As I'm leaving the school, I'm thinking how I need to get more sessions going to generate more income. I open the door and coming in is a district level administrator in charge of bilingual programs... She tells me who she is and I introduce my company and the workshops we offer for teachers who need to become credentialed to teach ESL and Bilingual students.
She asks if I work with Charter Schools. Why? (Get ready ....)
She got a call TODAY from a Charter School administrator looking for someone to help her teachers complete the professional preparation they need so they can be in compliance with a new requirement that takes effect in Fall! Short version, she gives me the name of the contact for a Charter School network who called her today.
What was different today ... I started with a 30 minute meditation and prayer with a prayer partner early this morning! I turn from form to Spirit!
Again, I say, I'm learning it works if I work it!
To Marguerite --- I'm going to assume "old soul" is a compliment! hehehe

As some of you may know, my most beloved spiritual teacher is Louise Hay. Her books , recordings, and wisdom has guided me for the past decade, and continues to do so every day.

"I Breathe in Love, and I Flow with Life"
Am I expanding or contracting? When I expand my thinking, my beliefs, and everything about me, the love flows freely.
When I contract, I put up walls and shut myself off. If I am frightened or threatened or feel that something is just not right, I begin to breathe.
Breathing opens me up. It straightens my spine. It opens my chest. It gives my heart room to expand.
By practicing breathing, I drop the barriers and begin to open up. It is a beginning point. Instead of going into total panic, I take a few breaths and ask myself:

Prosperity in the Life of a High Rollin' Jedi ...
Good morning my prosperous mates. As I have never posted to a blog, please forgive any mistakes. I just wished to thank Brad for his last blog about change. I, too, feel as though I am at the precipice of change. Which is scary as I begin to relinquish control and step out on faith.
Also, I love the Alice in Wonderland reminder about attempting impossible things.
Given all of that I wished to share this quick story which I keep on the refrigerator door.

Chapter 1
I walk down the street.

Good morning my prosperous mates. As I have never posted to a blog, please forgive any mistakes. I just wished to thank Brad for his last blog about change. I, too, feel as though I am at the precipice of change. Which is scary as I begin to relinquish control and step out on faith.
Also, I love the Alice in Wonderland reminder about attempting impossible things.
Given all of that I wished to share this quick story which I keep on the refrigerator door.

Manifestations, Full Speed Ahead!
I woke up this morning loving me some CSL. When I think back to my life one year ago, prior to taking the leap and actually going in to see what this "not quite a church, but a community?" was all about, I'm astounded to see the growth and joy that I feel in such a short period of time. A year ago, I was in a job that I had outgrown, in a relationship that was slowly but surely ending, and my oldest friend was wasting away from AIDS and running out of T-cells. I knew I had to make some tough decisions, and as one by one I let go of the job, of the partner, of the friend, I wondered if I was making the right choice, was being led to a better place.
With some healing and some perspective, I absolutely was being led to a better place, where I am today. It seems that sometimes the rockiest roads lead to the best destinations. I wanted to share with everyone some of the things I see showing up in my life, wonderful things, as a result of 4T's I hope you all do the same!

- On Monday, after class, my little MINI got stuck in the snow. I spent 15 minutes going back and forth, making very little progress and trying not to get completely frustrated. Out of the night came someone who, on a cold winters night, offered to give me a shove to get me out of the rut I was in. He shoved, and I was able to go home. Sometimes you can't do it all by yourself.....
- My ex and I have had a difficult time making the transition to "friends". He sent me an email this morning inviting me to his birthday party.
- A friend who I have not seen in a while called out of the blue and we are having dinner Sunday night.
I have been thinking a lot about something that Edwene Gaines said when she visited CSL last year. When she made the decision to begin tithing , she said to God "Prove yourself to me! You've got six months!". For me, I feel the opposite is true. God has been proving itself to me my whole life, in every breath that I take, in every step that I take, in the tears that I sometimes cry. In my friendships. In my work, which I love and was called to do. In all the abundance I see whenever I open my eyes fully to take it all in. This class is my chance to return the favor, to prove to God that I finally get it, that I know I am divinely Sourced, always have been, always will be. I am filled with gratitude for getting it, and having so much more time in my life to Prove It Back.
I am keeping all you Big Time Jedis in my thoughts and prayers as we go through our week.

Impossible things???
I've started a new practice --- contemplating and verbalizing what feel like impossible things - 10 each morning. I was motivated by a reminder of an excerpt from Alice in Wonderland:
Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." ~
So, I figure as a start, I will say them ... eventually I will believe them and the universe cannot help but act!

Prosperity in the Life of a High Rollin' Jedi ...
Dear Warriors!!!
Your puple will show up. The time to read is here. Just sit down, turn on the CD and open your book. You'll find that the first chapter might be your longest. And, after you've read, you're actually "fired up" to the mere fact that Prosperity is up to us to serve ourselves today! And, you're more than ready to keep moving. Just keep the energy in motion....like a current......."currency" if you will.
Don't let little things to keep you from listening to the CD and reading. Just do it as a routine like taking a shower or brushing your teeth. (I realize we're warriors but let us hope that we are taking showers and brushing our teeth)!!!
As you get into the habit of taking time to CD/read, you will be propelled into a new level of seizing the day...I promise!
I am off to another galaxy (with you) of course!!!

Embodiment of Prosperity (from Spiritual Liberation)
I just started reading Michael Bernard Beckwith’s new book, Spiritual Liberation. Page 9-10 are amazing and fit right in with our focus on developing a prosperity consciousness. I was particularly intrigued with what I am calling his treatment of prosperity which begins in the 2nd paragraph and continues to the end. He writes:
When Jesus defined prayer, he said to pray believing that I already have so that I may receive. He didn’t say pray believing that I might have it or pray believing that it will happen at some future time. No! So I now pray believing that heaven is already where I live. Ever-expanding good is already mine. I claim it as my spiritual inheritance. So I now enter into a zone where I realize that all of my needs are met. I feel that, right now, regardless of my circumstances. No one is preventing me from feeling that I already have all of my needs net. There’s no outside authority saying, “You know you can’t feel that yet because you don’t have the money you want and you don’t live in the house you want to live in. No, you can’t feel that yet.” I do feel it now, I feel and believe I have all I need, right now. Abundance is the order of the day. No longer do I have anxious thoughts about how my needs will be met.
I speak this word for myself knowing that in the feeling tone of this vibration my life contains all beauty, all love, all wisdom, all peace, all supply, all joy. Life so flows through my entire being without inhibition that the magnetic field within me magnifies the living Spirit in such a way that I ride a tidal wave of its beauty. This is what I’m declaring. This is what I see. This is what I accept. This is what I know. It’s happening NOW [emphasis added].
Into this sacred “now” I speak. I call forth wholeness and well-being in my life. My body temple reflects the fundamental harmony of the universe – the order, the strength, the beauty, the revitalizing power. Oh, the way I am made! So marvelously made! Divine Intelligence within my body temple can heal anything as I allow the condition for healing to manifest. SO I say “yes” to every organ, action, and function of my body. I am made whole. Every cell now vibrates with a luminosity that comes with having an intimate at-one-ment with pure Spirit. Health is the order of my day. Wholeness reigns supreme.
My mental habits and patterns are now refined, are now restored to their original clarity, and I no longer count my failures and obstacles. I count my blessings. As I go through this day, I am grateful. I start counting, “Oh, I’m so glad I’ve got a table. I’m so glad I’ve got a floor. I’m so glad I’ve got a run.” I just count my blessings. It doesn’t matter how big or small they are. I’m totally grateful.
My body temple, my emotional body, my mental body, the body of my affairs, my relationships, my creativity, all are now congruent with the fundamental goodness and harmony of the universe. I see and I give thanks for this. How infinite and divine and perfect is the spirit that indwells me. I give great thanks for the truth that pulses through me in this moment, allowing me to have direct contact with the fullness of my being.
I know that this word I speak is a law of elimination that dissolves anything that previously hindered, blocked, delayed, obstructed, or denied the fullness of life from expressing in and through me. This word is a law unto that which has been spoken. It is now the very condition that allows the divine and perfect spiritual idea within me to evolve into full blossom. I see it even as I declare it. I know it. I walk in a trust atmosphere about it. It governs my steps. It lifts me up. It transmutes anything within me that would hinder or block me. I open and am receptive to the inflow of inspiration, expansion of consciousness, and revelation of my true nature as an awakened being in this very moment. It is done, and so I let it be.

God is my Source ------- right?
The sun is blazin, smoke from hundreds of smokestacks blowing due east, creating a postcard showing the interaction of the elements -- hot and cold -- in this still subzero weather. The smoke moves effortlessly. The wind blows freely. They coexist - complete opposites interacting in the same space.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to focus on prosperity as I work to renovate myself after leaving a position and launching my own business. God is my Source...I think....right? In my brain I know it but my core still struggles.
As Mark says, faith is always easy when things are going smoothly so I affirm I AM PROSPEROUS, I AM PROSPEROUS, I AM PROSPEROUS ... in the morning, in the evening, every chance I get.

Okay, I'm here! 5:30 pm - just got home through tons of traffic. Keeping it real - I'm tired and a little cranky AND joyous at all I have and get to do in my life. So I remember that half the challenge is just showing up so I'm off to meditate on prosperity even though not a part of me feels like doing it. Isn't it great to have the choice to surrender to our Highest and love ourselves through all of it? xxoo Sue

Gratitude is my lighsaber today!
The outside temperature is -9 and I write this wearing only a pair of gym shorts as my body dries off from a hot shower in my home which is about 80 degrees, mostly because the sun is beaming in most of my windows creating a greenhouse effect.
I ate a bowl of Cheerios with cold milk I bought a week ago and stored in my frigerator powered with electricity.
I had the opportunity to drive to CSL last evening and participate in the Skype broadcast of the Oprah Best Life (Spirituality) program and be energized by the comments of fellow CSL members after.
I was able to download the 267 page Suze Orman 2009 Action Plan and save it to my laptop in less than 10 seconds - for free!
I am part of a dynamic, energetic, propserity focus group in a community committed to raising everyone to their highest potential.

Hey all! It was great getting to meet everyone last night. I wanted to follow up with a little Feng Shui info to help those of you who may not be familiar with a bagua and aren't sure where to place your purple item. Here's a link to a bagua article: http://www.fengshuipalace.com/bagua.php
Basically, if you lay the bagua over your home, the farthest left area from the front door is your prosperity area. You can also do this in every room, but you only really need to focus on the main area. Use the door that you always use to enter and exit your home. The significance of the door is that is where energy, or chi, enters your home. Make sure that you place your item purposefully and with intention, maybe say a prayer as you place it.
I've been using Feng Shui for years, and have amassed quite a library of books and tapes. If anyone is interested and would like recommendations, or would like to borrow one of my items, I'm always happy to share.

No question that I am committed to observing and living principles of prosperity, and learning and using the laws of Cause and Effect, Attraction, and others with conscious application to get what I clearly want in my life. As a Big Time jedi, I am committed to embracing and ahering to these laws and I see the laws acting as my personal lightsaber. In the past few months, the laws have been my tool for cutting through various barriers to my prosperity and as such, new relationships and new cash flow have been revealed. As a Big Time Jedi, I see these 12 weeks as training to develop new spiritual practices through affirmations, 4Ts class, tithing, and daily prayer. Yes, I AM PROSPEROUS!
